Andy and Emma (his wife of 17 months) came by to see how we were progressing. We enjoyed some conversations about him breaking the sound barrier in SSC Thrust and driving the world's fastest diesel, JCB Dieselmax (in 2006). While Andy was busy signing autographs for all of the team, Emma graciously snapped the photos.Andy and Ed Shadle (at left) have the jet driving experience in common as Ed is the driver of the North American Eagle.
Even with the world's fastest driver in our midst the crew was working toward completing the punch list of changes required by the Inspectors. Cold Heineken's and a neck cooler for Emma helped fend off the heat of the desert.
Thanks for being our fans and we will try to break your diesel streamliner record so JCB will get you back on the Salt.
Emma and Andy came by at least three more times during the 61st Speedweek . We are thrilled and honoured to have their attention and good wishes!
