A surprise package is delivered to our pit.
Wayne A. Platz is the messenger from the world famous GOLDENROD first 400+ mph record holder for many years , J.John Veenstra, was part of the crew. The package contained a custom made book about the Polliwog and the Goldenrod both very fast record holder cars from the Summers Brothers in the 1960's. A note wishing the Goldenhawk team good luck and a substantial donation to the cool refreshment fund. What an honour, it actually brought tears to my eyes. Wayne is a racer from Sweet Idaho.
